  • NTRES 6940 - Bioenergetics Modeling: Theory and Applications. Bioenergetics processes govern the movement of energy through organisms. Bioenergetics modeling provides an important tool to understand a wide range of ecological mechanisms related to individual specimen life history strategies, growth, food web energy flows, predator-prey interactions, and the accumulation of contaminants, among other applications. In this graduate seminar, students will learn the theoretical foundations of bioenergetics modeling for aquatic species, and have opportunity to conduct bioenergetics analysis on one of two class research projects.
