Core ECE course covering digital control systems, Markov decision processes and reinforcement learning algorithm. The course is in two parts with Part 1 including: transfer functions and block diagrams; dynamic response and performance objectives; root locus based compensator design; zero-order-hold equivalent; least squares identification; algebraic control design; state-space modeling; pole-shifting control with state feedback; asymptotic state observer; and combined observer-controller with integral control outer loop.
