Course Description

The transport of energy, mass, and momentum is essential to the function of living systems. Changes in these processes often underlie pathological conditions. This graduate level course covers the understanding and analysis of micro-macroscopic fluid flow phenomena within the human body and the relation between fluid flow and physiological processes. The topics covered in this course span from cellular level to organs under healthy and diseased conditions, as well as fluid phenomena in implants.

Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: MAE 3230 or equivalent, or permission of instructor.
