Course Description
Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2016-2017.
Principles and processes of flat-pattern design for upscale children's wear fashions. Studio projects include an emphasis on innovative design and high-quality garment assembly techniques.

Fees Minimum cost of materials: $250.
Permission Note Enrollment limited to: 22 students; 11 students per lab. Priority given to: FSAD major and students transferring into FSAD. Apparel Design majors should take this course during their first year.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Corequisite: FSAD 1170 and FSAD 1250.
Outcomes
- Develop patternmaking skills to prepare for further coursework in fashion design.
- Expand knowledge and skills with traditional garment construction methods.
- Create designer-quality children's wear for portfolios and display.
Regular Academic Session. Choose one lecture and one laboratory.
