Course Description

Individual study under faculty supervision. Work should concentrate on locating, assimilating, synthesizing, and reporting existing knowledge on a selected topic. Attempts to implement this knowledge in a practical application are desirable.

Permission Note Enrollment limited to: sophomores, juniors and seniors with a 3.0 GPA.
Comments Students must register using CALS Special Studies form available online. Maximum of 3 credits can be applied to major credits.

Prerequisite: 3.0 GPA. May be repeated up to 6 credits with different supervising faculty member. Students from all Colleges must submit a CALS Special Studies Form (Available online: http://cals.cornell.edu/academics/registrar/policies/#independent-study). Do not sign into section 601. You will be put in the course after submitting form online.
