Course Description

Introduction to fluid mechanics in micro- and nanofabricated devices. Physicochemical hydrodynamics, electrokinetic effects, capillarity, continuum breakdown, micro- and nanofluidic applications in chemistry and life sciences.

Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: undergraduate fluid or continuum mechanics (e.g., MAE 3230, CHEME 3230, AEP 4340) or permission of instructor.
