Introduces students to primary and emergency care of non-traditional pet species, zoo animals and native wildlife. Students will be directly supervised by the attending clinician and will take part in the examination, treatment, and diagnosis of patients on the exotics and wildlife services. While at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo, students will have a more observational role in the daily management of zoological species. During the rotation, you will choose to spend your time on one or two services for at least one week on each service or two weeks on one service. See the Canvas website for more information.
