The circus arts are an exciting hybrid of art and sport. In this course you'll dive deep into the basics of a multitude of circus disciplines, including aerials (fabric, lyra, trapeze, and hammock), juggling, wire walking, unicycling, stretching, and conditioning. The circus arts have been proven to increase brain matter, develop executive function, improve physical fitness, build strength, and create community. No experience is necessary to participate, and all skills can be modified for different levels of fitness. Please wear clothing that allows you to go upside down comfortably. This class will take place at Circus Culture, transportation provided.


Fees Course fee, $375. For instruction/travel and materials.

    The first class will meet briefly on campus in front of Bartels Hall then go together to Circus Culture, located in downtown Ithaca. Transportation is provided. No experience is necessary to participate, and all skills can be modified for different levels of fitness. Please wear clothing that allows you to go upside down comfortably.
