Course Description
Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2016-2017.
This course provides an introduction to programming through the manipulation of images, text, and other media. Through topics such as picture manipulation, image creation, and visualizing web data, students develop algorithmic thinking and problem-solving skills and understanding of data structures and object-oriented programming. Course meetings integrate lectures and interactive lab exercises; bring a laptop if you have one. This course is designed for students with little to no technical background. Students who have completed CS 1110 or have similar experience may take the course by permission of instructor only.
