Leading Through Complexity: Business Strategy for a Changing World

The hardest business decisions rarely have a "right" answer. Leaders must balance growth with risk, innovation with responsibility, shareholder returns with broader stakeholder expectations and increasingly, opportunities and challenges created by emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence. Drawing on the instructor's experience leading sustainability strategy at two leading financial institutions, this highly interactive, case-based course examines how executives, entrepreneurs, and investors navigate competing priorities. Through cases, guest speakers and class debate, students will explore how organizations create competitive advantage in a complex and rapidly changing business environment. The course is designed to prepare students to make thoughtful strategic decisions balancing financial, technological, environmental, and societal objectives.
