Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate disciplinary knowledge by translating frameworks and theories from previous entrepreneurship classes (e.g., NBA3000, AEM2220, eLab) into action, either in the development of a new enterprise or the growth of an existing (but young) organization.
- Apply analytical and critical thought by identifying key assumptions from theory and testing these rigorously against real-world conditions. This includes gathering real-world data specific to the particular context, confirming or rejecting those assumptions, and adjusting plans accordingly.
- Develop effective communication skills at the outset of the project by agreeing with the supervisor on concrete objectives and milestones; by maintaining regular contact with the supervisor and providing clear written and verbal updates; and by composing an effective summary of learnings and reflections at the conclusion of the class.
- Exhibit respectful and ethical conduct in gathering data from other parties (especially if external to Cornell), in citing sources, and in the use of artificial-intelligence tools.
