Course Description
Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2024-2025.
An independent design project on a topic selected and developed by the student. Marking the transition between academic and professional practices, the thesis project is an opportunity for each student to define an individual position with regard to the discipline of architecture.
When Offered Fall, Spring.
Permission Note Enrollment limited to: B.Arch. students.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: for students having matriculated prior to Summer 2023: ARCH 5101 and ARCH 5911 or Required Directed Elective (RDE); for students matriculating Summer 2023 and beyond: ARCH 5101 and ARCH 5911.
Course Attribute (CU-UGR)
Satisfies Requirement Requirement for B.Arch. candidates who must satisfactorily complete a thesis.

Instruction Mode: In Person
Required for Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) students. Prerequisite: ARCH 5101. You must attend the two Interim Thesis Reviews on February 20th and March 20th from 12:30-4:30 PM.
Architecture, Art, and Planning (AAP) students are restricted from dropping this course. Please contact the AAP Registrar Office for further information.
