Course Description
Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2023-2024.
This is an introductory course. It focuses on developing basic abilities to speak as well as to read and write in modern Tibetan, Lhasa dialect. Students are also introduced to modern Tibetan studies through selected readings and guest lectures.

Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: TIBET 1111 or equivalent.

Instruction Mode: Distance Learning-Synchronous
Prerequisite: TIBET 1111 or equivalent. This course is part of the Shared Course Initiative (SCI) and will be taught from Columbia University using videoconferencing technology.
