An independent design project on a topic selected and developed by the student. Marking the transition between academic and professional practices, the thesis project is an opportunity for each student to define an individual position with regard to the discipline of architecture.

Permission Note Enrollment limited to: B.Arch. students.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: ARCH 5101 and required directed elective (RDE) - or, alternatively ARCH 5911 - for students who matriculated before Summer 2023. For students matriculating in Summer 2023 and beyond, ARCH 5101 and 5911 are the only prerequisites.

Course Attribute (CU-UGR)
Satisfies Requirement Requirement for B.Arch. candidates who must satisfactorily complete a thesis.

    Required for B.Arch students. Prerequisite: ARCH 5101. You must attend the two Interim Thesis Reviews on February 20th and March 20th from 12:30-4:30 PM.
