The purpose of this course is to provide opportunities for 3rd year DVM students to gain valuable experience integrating professional competencies with their existing veterinary medical knowledge to support the development of a well-rounded clinician that can function effectively within a complex healthcare system to provide high quality patient care.  Using primary care case examples, teaching hospital platforms and a variety of student-centered learning modalities, students will integrate knowledge across professional competencies to achieve a holistic approach to patient management and care. Small group discussions will provide opportunities to interact with peers and faculty, for knowledge application and for debriefing/receiving feedback.
