PHYS 4485

Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2022-2023.

Designed to provide qualified undergraduate students who possess an interest in teaching with a structured experience teaching physics.  Participants collaborate with instructors and graduate teaching assistants to facilitate cooperative learning sessions, laboratory investigations, or homework help sessions.  Total weekly time commitment is 3-4 hours, including instructional contact time (2 hours), preparation time, and instructional staff meeting time.

When Offered Fall, Spring.

Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: previous enrollment in course to be taught or equivalent, and concurrent or previous enrollment in PHYS 4484.

Comments Credit will appear on transcript, but may not count towards graduation, depending on the student's college. For example, students in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences may apply up to 15 credits of internship, teaching, independent study, or research courses toward degree requirements. The College of Arts and Sciences does not count teaching credits toward graduation requirements nor towards semester good standing credits.
