Operations management concerns managing different processes and activities that produce value in the form of goods and services. Increased competition, expanding product variety and more demanding consumers require more efficient operations management. Effective operations management can enable companies to gain market share, reduce cost, and improve customer service. This course is designed to introduce students to the basic concepts of operations management and the methods useful for solving real-world operations management problems.

    Johnson MBA students are not eligible to take this class, as it is duplicative of the MBA core. Enrollment limited to: MPS in Management and Graduate students who have permission. There will be no enrollment from a wait list into a class if you have a time conflict or if it will create an overload. Add/Drop Dates: January 17th at 9:00am to January 30th at 11:59pm • You may only add or drop January 30th with permission of the faculty AND a late fee of $100.00 will be charged for each add or drop transaction. • If you are dropping after February 20th you will also receive a "W" on your transcript in addition to the late fees.
