Introductory course in Cryptography. Topics include one-time pads, stream ciphers, block ciphers, authenticated encryption, asymmetric encryption, digital signatures, and more. The focus is on contemporary cryptographic algorithms used in practice, with some introduction to formal analyses.

Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: CS 2800 or equivalent, CS 4810 or mathematical maturity, or permission of instructor.
