Learn what you can do should you become lost or stranded in the backcountry. This course covers general backcountry safety, seven principles of survival, shelters, signaling, water and food procurement, navigation, and fire starting, as well as nature observation skills and local natural history.

Fees Course fee: $290 for food/travel.

Other classes will first meet at Bartels Hall and then travel to other areas around Ithaca, NY. Transportation is provided to classes off campus. Class does include overnight trip.
