Course Description
Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2020-2021.
This course is intended primarily for more advanced students in finance and students interested in investing/investment management. The course presumes an understanding of basic corporate finance theory, introductory accounting, financial analysis and an particularly an interest in financial markets. We will be covering several topics including active and passive investing, ETFs, fundamentals based quantitative investing and short-selling. I expect this course to be useful for students planning for careers in investment banking, investment management, wealth management, corporate management, private equity, venture capital, security analysis, credit analysis, consulting, or public accounting. This course complements NBA 5060 (financial statement analysis), NBA 5110 (financial modeling), intermediate accounting and NBA 5090 (advanced financial statement analysis). You might consider taking these if you want to increase your knowledge in the area.

Instruction Mode: Hybrid-Online and In Person
The Instructor for this class will be teaching In Person Hybrid: rotational in person attendance. You will be notified of your eligibility to attend in person and students should connect remotely until a seat is assigned. Enrollment limited to: Johnson and Graduate students only. There will be no enrollment from a wait list into a class if you have a time conflict or if it will create an overload. Students dropping this course after April 5, 2021 will be assessed a fee of $100. The deadline to drop the class without a “W” is April 26, 2021 @11:59pm but you will still be charged the $100 late fee. Deadline to change the grading basis for Student Option classes: April 26th
