Course Description
Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2020-2021.
This course builds on the material of NBA 5060 and focuses on more advanced financial statement topics and specialized industries. Topics may include investment research, accounting analysis, accounting quality, credit analysis, and advanced valuation issues. Instruction focuses on a combination of lecture and case-based discussion. Students are expected to have taken NBA 5060 or possess a good understanding of basic financial statement analysis. The material is designed to broaden student's understanding of financial statement analysis and complement the tools developed in NBA 5060. The course deliverables include case write-ups, an equity research project, and a final exam.
When Offered Fall, Spring.
Permission Note Enrollment limited to: students who have not completed 3-credit version of NBA 5061.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: NBA 5060, finance immersion course, or permission of instructor.

Instruction Mode: Hybrid-Online and In Person
The Instructor for this class will be teaching In Person Pre-req; NBA 5060 Financial Statement Analysis. Enrollment limited to: Johnson Students Only. Enrollment for NON-Johnson students by Permission Only Hybrid: rotational in person attendance. You will be notified of your eligibility to attend in person and students should connect remotely until a seat is assigned. There will be no enrollment from a wait list into a class if you have a time conflict or if it will create an overload. Students dropping this course after April 5, 2021 will be assessed a fee of $100. The deadline to drop the class without a “W” is April 26, 2021 @11:59pm but you will still be charged the $100 late fee. This course is a Management Science Elective.
