Design of sustainable energy systems is a critical challenge that must be addressed in the near future. This course will focus on the analysis, design and production of renewable energy (solar, wind, nuclear, hydro, and geothermal, etc.) systems, with a focus on understanding the critical material challenges as well as the design and manufacturing challenges of sustainable energy systems. Target audience is advanced undergraduate and M.Eng students who wish to gain a solid foundation in sustainable energy systems, including energy conversion and utilization technologies for both residential and industrial applications.
