HADM 6990 Hospitality Branding Special Project. 1.5 credit. S/U. Spring 2021. Open to SHA MMH students only. This project-based course will apply a consulting model and small-group learning format to address a real-world business challenge: the rebranding of Cornell University’s Statler Hotel. Students will work with the course professor and hotel management to perform a market analysis, brand audit, and branding workshop with the goal of making recommendations for brand strategy and implementation across hotel dimensions: physical design, service processes, internal marketing, and external marketing communications. Students will develop insight into and a toolkit for rebranding strategy in the hospitality sector. Students will meet at Statler Hotel on Fridays, March 19 - April 16th, 11am to 1pm.
Enrollment limited to students who are able to attend in-person classes in the Ithaca area.
