Course Description
Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2020-2021.
The primary focus is to prepare students for the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, which is required as the first step in obtaining a Professional Engineering license. Other engineering professionalism topics will be covered in some of lectures. The FE exam is valid in any state and does not expire. Students complete a formal comprehensive review of engineering subjects associated with the FE Exam.
Outcomes
- Students will improve their ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science and mathematics (ABET 1).
- Students will demonstrate an ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgements which consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts (ABET 4).
