Course Description
Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2019-2020.
This reading course will focus on technical tools at the interface of statistics, causal inference, and optimization. The course will lean on a mixture of research monographs, books, and research papers. The goal is to develop a working familiarity with several tools, their theoretical foundations, and application to tasks of research interest. Sessions will consist of 1-2 students presenting a deep dive on a topic and leading the discussion. Before each presentation, the expectation is for all students to have read the paper and write some review notes.
