This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of emotional processes in teamwork, how these processes affect outcomes of teamwork, and how robots might shape them. Topics include: Robots, emotion in human-robot interaction, team dynamics, conflict in teams, emotion and emotion regulation. By discussing readings on these topics from research on human robot interaction, psychology, conversation analysis, and organizational behavior studies, the primary goal is for students to develop a deeper understanding about how robots, teamwork, and emotion intersect.
