Course Description
Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2019-2020.
Explores the place of humans in the biological world, origins of ethics and morality, speciesism, the use of animals for research and agricultural purposes, and transgenic animals. A book review, participation in discussion in class and online, and a project of the student's choice are used to evaluate the performance of each student.
