What does it take to make an idea or concept into a successful commercial undertaking? Well, a whole lot - a great product in a compelling market, a strong team with determination, and most certainly a sound business model. A business model defines how a company creates value with key resources and processes, how that value is delivered to customers, and ultimately how the company makes profits for shareholders. Legacy business models can be the downfall of even the most successful companies, whereas innovative business models can completely disrupt established markets, creating massive value for customers and shareholders.
