This course covers case studies on product management. Students will learn about the Big Red Marketing frameworks – a set of decisions making frameworks to guide strategic marketing decisions. These frameworks address how to launch new products, write positioning statements, build brands, managing portfolios of products, and optimize ad spends. This course is essential for students going into product/brand management jobs. Students interested in general management, consulting, corporate finance, and those who plan to start their own businesses will also find this course useful. Although this course is for students in the AMBA and MBA programs, in the past, some students from the engineering programs, the Hotel School and ILR have also attended this course.

Comments Please note that there is a significant overlap between the materials taught in this course and the Strategic Marketing Immersion course (NBA 6240). Therefore, students who are presently enrolled in the Marketing Immersion and those who have already attended the Marketing Immersion in the past year should not enroll for this course.

  • *Open to GM, Grad, and UG Seniors* ** S/U or Letter Grade Only - NO AUDITS ALLOWED ** Deadline to Change Grading Option: March 21st at 4:00pm Add/Drop Dates: Johnson Students – January 16th at 8:00am to February 7th at 4:00pm. Non-Johnson Students: February 1st at 8:00am to February 7th at 4:00pm. You may add or drop a full semester class after February 7th with permission of the faculty. A late fee of $100.00 will be charged for each add or drop transaction. If you are dropping after March 21st you will also receive a "W" on your transcript in addition to the late fees. Non-Johnson students may add themselves to the waitlists during their enrollment periods, however Johnson Students have priority into the classes and non-Johnsons will be enrolled: 1) IF seats are still available after Johnson students complete their enrollment period and 2) IF the instructor allows.
