Entrepreneurship and Business Ownership (EBO) is a comprehensive introduction to the key aspects of envisioning, starting and running a new business. EBO focuses both on concepts and frameworks in entrepreneurship and on "doing" entrepreneurship. Students will form teams, ideate new businesses, complete customer development, construct business models and work towards creating minimum viable products. Topics covered will include definition of the market, sales and distribution, competition, hiring and management of people, cash flow and financial management, making compelling pitches and raising capital. The course culminates in a capstone project of writing a business plan and presenting to a group of entrepreneurs and investors.

  • **Open to Johnson and Grad students Only** Add/Drop Dates: Johnson Students – January 16th at 8:00am to February 7th at 4:00pm. Non-Johnson Students: February 1st at 8:00am to February 7th at 4:00pm. You may add or drop a full semester class after February 7th with permission of the faculty. A late fee of $100.00 will be charged for each add or drop transaction. If you are dropping after March 21st you will also receive a "W" on your transcript in addition to the late fees. Non-Johnson students may add themselves to the waitlists during their enrollment periods, however Johnson Students have priority into the classes and non-Johnsons will be enrolled: 1) IF seats are still available after Johnson students complete their enrollment period and 2) IF the instructor allows.
