Course Description
Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2017-2018.
If you can't communicate your engineering ideas, then their potential can't be realized. This course tackles the challenge of 21st century science and engineering communication by providing instruction and practice creating innovative presentations and videos, which may ultimately become part of PBS Learning Media, a nationally distributed educational resource. The course also focuses on the responsible use of social media platforms and effectively tailoring your message to an audience via the mentoring of local high school seniors interested in engineering. The Director of Science Content, Services, and Programming at WSKG (local PBS station) will co-teach the course to provide combined technical and communication expertise. Engineering project teams members involved in marketing or fundraising, and graduate students interested in effectively and innovatively sharing their research, will especially benefit from this course.
