This course offers graduate students an introduction to sociological research on sex and gender. Topics include theoretical approaches, work, family, reproduction, intimate relationships, human capital, and the life course. Readings will include a mix of qualitative and quantitative approaches. We will also devote a portion of each class to discussing methodological issues.
