Entrepreneurship and Business Ownership (EBO) is a comprehensive introduction to the key aspects of envisioning, starting and running a new business. EBO focuses both on concepts and frameworks in entrepreneurship and on "doing" entrepreneurship. Students will form teams, ideate new businesses, complete customer development, construct business models and work towards creating minimum viable products. Topics covered will include definition of the market, sales and distribution, competition, hiring and management of people, cash flow and financial management, making compelling pitches and raising capital. The course culminates in a capstone project of writing a business plan and presenting to a group of entrepreneurs and investors.

***JOHNSON SCHOOL AND GRADUATE STUDENTS ONLY*** Non-Johnson students may add themselves to the waitlists during their enrollment periods, however Johnson Students have priority into the classes and non-Johnsons will be enrolled: 1) IF seats are still available after Johnson students complete their enrollment period and 2) IF the instructor allows. Add/Drop Dates: Johnson Students – January 17th – February 8th. Non-Johnson Students – February 2nd – February 8th You may add or drop a full semester class after February 8th only with permission of the faculty. A late fee of $100.00 will be charged to your bursar account, for each add or drop transaction. If you are dropping after March 22nd you will also receive a “W” on your transcript in addition to the late fee.
