Course Description

Cyclical changes in fashion and U.S. apparel industry development. Cultural, economic, demographic, and technological changes are related to American fashion innovation and diffusion.
When Offered Spring.
Permission Note Enrollment limited to: 25 students. Not open to freshmen or sophomores.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: FSAD 1250, FSAD 1350, FSAD 1360, FSAD 2310, FSAD 2370 and FSAD 3320.
Outcomes
- Understand the impact of socio-cultural expectations and change, economics, and new technologies on fashion.
- Understand selected fashion theories and their influence on styles and trends.
- Become skilled at correctly identifying and dating styles and fashions.
