The course is in a lecture and laboratory format designed to provide veterinary students with the imaging knowledge and interpretation skills necessary to succeed in small animal veterinary medicine. The course provides students with an understanding of all modalities, with emphasis in radiographs and ultrasound, organized into topics by body regions. The imaging content is selected based on what is considered core material for the practicing veterinarian, including recognition of appropriateness of examination and modality. The course focuses on common diseases and illnesses affecting dogs and cats.
