This is a one-credit course which will seek to introduce the student to topics regarding the asset management perspective and process for hotels. Asset management seeks to optimize hotel value and investment returns for the stakeholder at every stage of the investment cycle. Specifically, it is the fiduciary responsibility of managing the hospitality investment to meet the specific objectives of ownership. The asset manager's role in building value is analyzed at both the portfolio and property levels.

Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: HADM 3210 or HADM 7230 or permission of the instructor.

Satisfies Requirement Elective.
