Course Description
Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2015-2016.
Lectures on topics of eukaryotic genomics, chromatin structure, regulation of gene expression, RNA processing, micro-RNA regulation, the structure and movement of chromosomes, long range regulatory interactions, and nuclear export and import. Covers the structure and function of the nucleus at the molecular and cell biological levels.
When Offered Spring.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: BIOMG 3300 or BIOMG 3330 or BIOMG 3350 or BIOMG 3310/BIOMG 3320, or equivalent. Recommended prerequisite: BIOMG 2800.
Outcomes
- The students will learn how to interpret results from experiments and draw rigorous conclusions.
- The students will then be capable of proposing their own experiments to address related questions.
