Course Description

Cancer is among the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in companion animals. Prevention, diagnosis and management of cancer in companion animals represents a significant component of small animal clinical practice both in academia and the private sector. The course will provide information on the biological behavior and management of additional types of cancers in dogs and cats not covered in the core material. This information will also be supplemented by more information about new cancer therapies that are being introduced in to veterinary oncology, as well as information about both handling chemotherapy and managing chemotherapy complications.
