Perspectives on complex organizations with special focus on the administration of educational organizations as they interact with local and non-local communities. Considers social science and legal theories and empirical research, and their application to public K-12 schools, higher education, and community development. Intended for students interested in studying organizational change, educational reform, and community vitality.

  • Explain, evaluate, and effectively interpret factual claims, theories and assumptions in the student's discipline(s) (especially in one or more of the college's priority areas of land grant-agricultural sciences, applied social sciences, environmental sciences, and/or life sciences) and more broadly in the sciences and humanities.
