CHEM 2080

Covers fundamental chemical principles, with considerable attention given to the quantitative aspects and techniques important for further work in chemistry.

Fees Course fee: Students without a prior chemistry lab course (CHEM 2070 or CHEM 2090), will be charged a $20 nonrefundable lab fee that covers the cost of safety goggles, lab apron, and breakage.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: CHEM 2070 (or CHEM 2090). CHEM 1560 is accepted, but not recommended.
Forbidden Overlaps Forbidden Overlap: Students may not receive credit for both CHEM 2080 and CHEM 2150.

Comments Students who have advanced placement credit for CHEM 2070 or CHEM 2090 may also receive credit for Chem 2080 by demonstrating competence on the departmental examination given at Cornell before classes start in the fall.
