Designed for undergraduates who have a sincere interest in dairy farm management and the dairy industry. Objective is to gain further understanding of the integration and application of dairy farm management principles and programs with respect to progressive dairying and related industries. The course emphasizes a wide range of dairy and agriculture related businesses and personnel that work in and with the dairy industry.

Permission Note Enrollment limited to: juniors.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: ANSC 2500.

Outcomes
  • Students will develop critical thinking skills in dairy management decision making.
  • Students will learn to defend their positions through oral, extemporaneous discussions of their findings.
  • Students will develop networking skills and network through participation in professional meetings and field trips related to the dairy industry.
