This speaker series will feature prominent voices from across the sports industry, including commissioners of professional leagues, team executives, and attorneys specializing in sports mergers and acquisitions. The series is expected to include 12 to 14 speakers, meeting on a weekly basis. This course is designed to exposure students to pressing issues facing industry executives in today’s fast paced sports environment.

  • Identify and explain pressing issues affecting the contemporary sports industry, including business, legal, financial, governance, technological and organizational challenges.
  • Analyze how sports industry leaders approach complex decisions in a rapidly changing and highly visible environment.
  • Compare the perspectives and priorities of different industry stakeholders, including professional leagues, teams, athletes, investors, attorneys, media.
