Course Description
Course information provided by the 2026-2027 Catalog.
This course will cover the day-to-day function of individuals working in a capital markets transactional environment. Topics will include basic corporate finance principles, and how to learn and stay on top of capital market current issues and trends, non-GAAP measures, important investor disclosures in both the private and public company context, and working with key stakeholders to drive deal outcomes. These topics cover many substantive areas as well as ethical, business, policy and reputational concerns. This course will address the skills necessary to navigate these issues. (LAW-ABA, LAW-EXP)

Enrollment limited to: Cornell Tech Master of Laws (LLM) and Juris Doctor (JD) students; Master of Business Administration (MBA) students by permission of instructor.
No drops after September 8. An optional orientation will be held before September 8. Class time designated is a mix of in-class discussion and team/group meetings.
Students should expect to meet as a team outside of the designated sessions as well.
