This course helps students understand what's happening in the rapidly transforming legal landscape – and be ready to help lead its evolution with both insights and practical skills. This intensive course has two main components: (1) Understanding the Legal Tech Ecosystem: Students will gain an understanding of the trends and explosive innovation in legal tech by hearing the perspectives of founders, funders, and users and by discussing a variety of new tools and solutions; and (2) Legal Tech Design: Students will explore how legal processes and workflows can be transformed into automated solutions and will develop applications in the legal domain using no-code or vibecoding tools. The course ends with a collegial competition among student teams who present their designs to a panel of judges. (LAW-ABA)
