LAW 5081

An introduction to lawyering skills, with emphasis on legal writing, analysis, research, and oral presentation. Assignments are set in the context of a simulated law office (or judge’s chambers). Students prepare predictive memoranda, determine case facts through interviews or depositions as needed, and deliver oral presentations to a supervising attorney. Instruction includes both full-class sessions and individual conferences, with extensive feedback on major assignments.
