This course covers capital budgeting, firm valuation, real options, cost of capital, capital structure, financing decisions, payout policies, M&A, and risk management by combining finance theory with real-life problems faced by the hospitality industry. We will (1) study fundamental finance concepts and theories; (2) analyze financial statements and develop pro formas; (3) understand how investment and financing decisions affect firm value; and (4) examine selected advanced topics in corporate finance.


Prerequisites HADM 2250, HADM 2220, AEM 2240, or AEM 2241.
