CHEM 1010 will introduce current and prospective Chemistry majors to research opportunities in Chemistry and Chemical Biology. The seminar will foster an interactive environment where students can building connections with faculty and upper-year Chemistry majors, and explore research opportunities within the department.

Learning Outcomes

  • Demonstrate a better understanding of the research opportunities that exist in the Chemistry department at Cornell and beyond.
  • Develop a broader network of support from faculty, staff, and students who are able to support their research goals.
  • Demonstrate greater self-efficacy when seeking an undergraduate research opportunity in Chemistry before the end of their sophomore year.
