In this field-based course, students will observe, measure, and sample aquatic environments to determine chemical and physical characteristics of water quality. The course will pair sensor data with samples brought back to the laboratory for chemical analysis. It includes both the quantification and interpretation of water measurements to facilitate decision-making in watershed management. This course prepares students to contribute meaningfully to the science and stewardship of water resources.
