This course will provide students with a basic understanding of the statistical mechanical properties of DNA and how these properties impact processes on DNA.

Permission Note Primarily for: graduate students.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: graduate level quantum mechanics and graduate level statistical mechanics. A prior course in solid-state physics is helpful, but not required.

Comments Topic: Strongly Correlated Phases of Quantum Matter. Undergraduate students are welcome to register for the course, after discussing with the instructor.
