This laboratory course builds on the Core Clinical Skills taught in previous sections of VTMED 5703. In addition, an introduction to nutrition is provided via lectures on energetics, vitamins and minerals, pet food labels, feeds, and feeding practices. Communication Exercises are a significant component of the course; in these small group exercises, students work through case scenarios with faculty and simulated clients.
